This session examines the environmental aspect of Security and Rule of Law, with a specific focus in conflict affected areas. It will bring to the fore the legal contours and actors shaping environmental SRoL during and after conflict and map the hindrances and opportunities for peace arising thereof.
This session features panelists Marja Lehto (Ambassador and Senior Expert in Public International Law at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland), Eleanor Beevor (Conflict Researcher and Consultant for the United Nations Development Program) and Daniëlla Dam-de Jong (Associate Professor at Leiden University).
