The goal of this session was to co-create strategies which may be used in decolonizing knowledge. The session highlighted the important of challenging knowledge domination by a single group or region, as power and knowledge are closely linked. It also discussed the role of invisible and hidden power, encouraging the audience to analyze who is influencing a narrative when certains things are accepted as being “normal”.Watch the recording for a field-oriented, interactive discussion on how to understand decolonizing knowledge as a continuous and intentional process which must be undertaken structually and individually. This session acknowledges and values local knowedge by properly attributing sources of knowledge, and sharing real-time documentation so knowledge can be shared widely with communities.
