Sexual violence in the Gambia is the microcosm through which this session explored how technology, interactivity, knowledge-sharing and mentorship can be used to harness the potential of local actors, and remain grounded in all aspects of local culture and ideas of justice, meet local needs and be locally owned.
This session involved panelists Ashley Jordana (Barrister and the Secretary of Global Rights Compliance), Fatou Baldeh MBE (Founder and CEO of the NGO 'Women in Liberation and Leadership'), Naffie Sisshoho Bangura (State Counsel at the Attorney General's Chambers and Ministry of Justice of The Gambia) and Ruby Axelson (Legal Consultant with Global Rights Compliance).
